HOW TO CONVERT A 1GB MEMORY CARD TO 2GB IN CAPACITY | SIZE

Memory cards are used in all forms of digital media like digital cameras, computers, mobile phones, music players e.t.c. But agony is when you want to store more data than your memory card can accomodate. So if it happens that you parchased a card before and you feel that its storage capacity is not enough to your satisfaction, Well, there is a good news for you. You can convert a 1GB memory card to 2 GB with the help of just a simple click :D

Proceedure

• Note that this trick will only work on a 1GB memory Card. (970MB +)

1. Backup all the data on your memory card (because the card will format in the process)
2. Download the Skymedi-2GB-Fix-Software here or at the end of this tutorial.
3. After you have download the software, run the 1GB_to_2GB.exe file.
4. Then choose the drive letter of your memory card, and click on the Fix button as shown below;

5. Then click yes to confirm and you are done!!! Your memory card's memory capacity will be increased from 1GB to aproximately 2GB.

You can now check your memory card's storage capacity wheather it has changed or not. Simply unplug the memory stick from your computer and plug it back, then right click on your memory card drive icon, go to properties and see your new storage capacity. You can also test your memory card by transfering in data which is nearly 2GB. It worked right? *smile*

Note that some mobile phones especially ''chineese junks'' may still show a 1GB capacity even after the tweak, but dont worry, your memory card is already tweaked with a new & higher storage capacity. Just transfer all the files you need and Enjoy :D

HOW TO RUN SYMBIAN MOBILE APPLICATIONS ON YOUR COMPUTER

First of all, you need to download and install Symbian SDK onto your computer.


Download Symbian SDK here

‪1.‬  Install the SDK and all the included  tools in the package into their default location.
‪2.‬ After you have installed all the packages, reboot your PC.
‪3.‬ Now go to:

Start » Program files » Nokia Developer Tools » Symbian SDK » Emulator to launch the emulator

‪4.‬Wait for the Emulator to completely load. The Emulator program will look like this after it has completed the loading process

5. Now to run a symbian application of your choice, go to File-->Open then choose a symbian application file from your computer and click ok.

If you get an error while trying to install unsigned applications, the go to:

Menu » Settings » Application settings and change value from Signed only to All.

Thats all, now you will be able to run mobile symbian application right from your computer.. :D

On the main screen type

*#06# for checking the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity).

*#7780# reset to factory settings.

*#7370#  formats the phone, (completely erase all data on the phone)

*#67705646# This will clear the LCD display(operator logo).

*#0000# To view software version.

*#2820# Bluetooth device address.

*#746025625# Sim clock allowed status. 

*#62209526# - Display the MAC address of the WLAN adapter. This is available only in the newer devices   that supports WLAN like N80

#pw+1234567890+1# Shows if sim have restrictions.

*#92702689# - takes you to a secret menu where you may find some of the information below: 

1. Displays Serial Number. 

2. Displays the Month and Year of Manufacture 

3. Displays (if there) the date where the phone was purchased (MMYY) 

4. Displays the date of the last repair - if found (0000) 

5. Shows life timer of phone (time passes since last start)

*#3370# - Enhanced Full Rate Codec (EFR) activation. Increase signal strength, better signal reception. It also help if u want to use GPRS and the service is not responding or too slow. Phone battery will drain faster though.

*#3370* - (EFR) deactivation. Phone will automatically restart. Increase battery life by 30% because phone receives less signal from network.

*#4720# - Half Rate Codec activation.

*#4720* - Half Rate Codec deactivation. The phone will automatically restart 

If you forgot wallet code for Nokia S60 phone, use this code reset: *#7370925538#

Note, your data in the wallet will be erased. Phone will ask you the lock code. Default lock code is: 12345

Press *#3925538# to delete the contents and code of wallet. 

*#7328748263373738# resets security code.

Default security code is 12345

Unlock service provider: Insert sim, turn phone on and press vol up(arrow keys) for 3 seconds, should say pin code. Press C,then press * message should flash, press * again and 04*pin*pin*pin# 

Change closed caller group (settings >security settings>user groups) to 00000 and ure phone will sound the message tone when you are near a radar speed trap. Setting it to 500 will cause your phone 2 set off security alarms at shop exits, gr8 for practical jokes! (works with some of the Nokia phones.)

HOW TO VIEW A FORGOTTEN MEMORY CARD PASSWORD

A password is usually set for security purposes. Setting up a  complicated password is one of the basics of strengthening the security of every device but what is tragic is that most people tend to forget their passwords. So if you happen to be a symbian phone lover and forgot your memory card password?... There is no need to format your memory card with the help of a card reader as this might result in the loss of very important data, All you have to do is follow these simple steps;

1. Download and install x-plore Onto your mobile device. You can download x-plore from http://wapgalaxy.net  (X-plore is a symbian mobile application that views systems files and folder both hidden and unhidden)
2. Open your X-plore apps and Press 0(Zero) and check which you have marked the “show the system files”
3. Once you done that now go to the following path C:/Sys/Data/Mmcstore
4. Once you reached there you need to press “3″ under option to set it in the Hex-viewer
5. See the third column you will able to see a line of code ! TMSD02G (c??”?x???4?5?3?5?5). Just check the character between the “?” it is your password ie: 45355.
